Integrity Index is a South African public-interest accountability platform. Its purpose is to organise, summarise and present publicly available information about public figures, public officials, elected representatives, political office-bearers and other persons who hold or seek positions of public power or influence in South Africa.

The website is intended to support transparency, public accountability, civic education, research, journalism, informed public debate and voter awareness. The website does not exist to harass, threaten, intimidate, defame or unlawfully target any person.

The information displayed on the website is intended to be based on information that is publicly available, lawfully accessible or already published by official bodies, courts, Parliament, regulators, commissions of inquiry, law-enforcement bodies, recognised civil society organisations, reputable media organisations or other public-interest sources.

Where possible, entries should include links, citations or references that allow readers to verify the underlying source material. The inclusion of a source does not mean that Integrity Index endorses every statement, interpretation or conclusion contained in that source.

Integrity Index distinguishes between allegations, investigations, formal charges, official findings, court judgments and convictions. A person must not be understood to have been found guilty of any criminal or unethical conduct unless the profile expressly states that a conviction, judgment, formal finding or other legally recognisable determination has occurred and identifies the relevant source.

Where the website refers to allegations, complaints, investigations, charges, inquiries, media reports or official processes, those references should be read only as references to the existence of those allegations, reports or processes. They are not statements that the person is guilty of wrongdoing.

Integrity Index may publish integrity, accountability, risk, transparency or similar scores for public figures. These scores are analytical indicators generated from a methodology designed by Integrity Index. They are not court findings, legal findings, official government ratings, proof of guilt or definitive measures of character.

Scores may consider factors such as convictions, formal charges, official investigations, official adverse findings, parliamentary ethics findings, conflicts of interest, declarations of interest, credible media reports, source reliability, recency, repetition, severity and whether an issue has been resolved, withdrawn, dismissed or corrected.

The methodology may be updated, refined or corrected from time to time. Scores may change when new information becomes available, when source reliability changes, when old information becomes less relevant, when information is corrected, or when the methodology is improved.

Integrity Index may use automated tools, artificial intelligence systems, data extraction tools, search tools, classification tools, scoring tools or scheduled update systems to assist with collecting, structuring, summarising and reviewing publicly available information.

AI-assisted outputs can contain errors, omissions, misclassifications or outdated information. Integrity Index aims to use source-based workflows, evidence tables, review steps and correction mechanisms to reduce those risks. Users should verify important information directly against the cited sources.

The website is provided for general information, public-interest, research and civic-awareness purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, political, electoral, investigative, compliance, governance, professional or other advice. Users should not rely on the website as the sole basis for any legal, financial, employment, voting, reputational, commercial or personal decision.

Integrity Index aims to publish accurate, fair, relevant and source-based information. However, the website may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, broken links, incomplete profiles, duplicated source references, incorrect classifications or scoring errors.

Public information changes over time. Investigations may be opened or closed, charges may be withdrawn, findings may be appealed, reports may be corrected, and allegations may be disproved. Integrity Index seeks to distinguish between proven facts, sourced allegations, official processes, commentary and analytical scoring. A public figure, representative, data subject, source, reader or affected person may request a correction, update, clarification or right of reply by emailing info@futureinsights.co.za.

Correction requests should identify the specific page, statement or score being challenged, explain the requested correction, and provide supporting documentation or source links. Integrity Index may request additional information, review the matter, amend the profile, add context, update the score, record the dispute, or decline the request where it is unsupported, abusive, irrelevant or inconsistent with the public-interest purpose of the website.

Users must read the information on the website carefully, consider the source references, distinguish between allegations and findings, and avoid misrepresenting the website as making statements it does not make. Users must not use Integrity Index material for harassment, threats, unlawful discrimination, doxxing, intimidation, misinformation, incitement, vigilantism or any unlawful purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Integrity Index, Future Insights, their operators, contributors, data providers, agents, contractors and related persons will not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, cost or consequence arising from or connected to the use of, inability to use, interpretation of, reliance on, republication of or action taken in response to the website or any information displayed on it.

Unless otherwise indicated, the website design, summaries, structure, methodology, scoring model, classifications, original wording, visual presentation and database arrangement are owned by or licensed to Integrity Index or Future Insights. Source materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Users may quote limited extracts for legitimate public-interest, research, commentary, journalistic or educational purposes, provided that the meaning is not distorted and the source is properly acknowledged. Automated scraping, bulk copying, republication, commercial reuse or creation of derivative databases is not permitted without prior written consent, unless allowed by law.

Integrity Index may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of the website, methodology, data, profiles, features, scores or source references at any time. Information may be removed, corrected, archived, expanded or reclassified without prior notice.
